Oppenhoff & Partner advises Witte on the acquisition of a majority stake in the Mexican printing company MGM

 

Oppenhoff & Partner has comprehensively advised the special and high-security printing company Witte (Münster) on its acquisition of a majority share in the Mexican company Maquiladora Gráfica Mexicana S.A. de C.V. (MGM) situated in Guadalajara.

 

With over 400 employees at sites in Guadalajara and Tijuana, MGM produces self-adhesive printed products with a focus on special labels and high-quality cardboard sales packaging for Mexican, US and international customers, primarily in the automotive, entertainment and electronic industry as well as the spirits industry.

 

Witte Group, which has 125 employees, produces forgery-proof, self-adhesive identification systems, official documents and vehicle security products.

 

An Oppenhoff team comprising Dr. Markus Rasner, Katharina Leoff and Daniel Zimmer (all M&A,Frankfurt) advised Witte during the transaction. On local law matters they cooperated with the law firm of Rivadeneyra, Trevino & De Campo (team led by Vidaur Mora and Viktoria von Mirbach).
