Oppenhoff & Partner advises Saint-Gobain on the sale of its EPS business to Hirsch Servo Group
Oppenhoff & Partner has advised Saint-Gobain Rigips GmbH (Düsseldorf) on the sale of its business for the manufacture and distribution of expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulating material to the Austrian Hirsch Servo Group.
The transaction encompassed the insulation production sites at Rheda-Wiedenbrück, Ebrach and Grombach with around 175 employees. The parties agreed not to disclose the purchase price. The execution of the transaction is still dependent upon the fulfilment of various conditions.
The sale represents a further step in Saint-Gobain Rigips’s strategic orientation towards the core business in the dry wall and design-oriented interior construction sector. Oppenhoff advises the materials group on a regular basis, for example on matters of corporate law/M&A, real estate law and foreign trade law.
The Oppenhoff team included Ronald Meißner (Frankfurt), Myriam Schilling (Cologne), Katharina Leoff (Frankfurt, all corporate law/M&A), Jérôme Friedrich (real estate law), Dr. Simon Spangler (antitrust law), Jörn Kuhn, Anja Dombrowsky (both employment law, all Frankfurt) and Dr. Gunnar Knorr (tax law, Cologne).
