Oppenhoff & Partner advises the management of trendtours Touristik during the sale to Bregal Unternehmerkapital
Funds advised by Bregal have acquired trendtours Touristik GmbH with seat in Frankfurt am Main within the scope of a succession plan. The enterprise is one of the leading German direct tour operators and arranges individual, diverse travel itineraries such as air travel, bus trips and cruises, in addition to wellness, adventure and recreational holidays.
The sellers are the founder and former managing director Werner Scheidel and additional share-holders. At the end of 2017 the enterprise generated turnover of more than 300 million euros and employed about 160 people.
Bregal Unternehmerkapital is a part of the family-run enterprise built up over generations and fo-cuses on holdings that are open to long-term commitments and independent of developments on the financial markets.
An Oppenhoff team led by the Frankfurt partner Dr Markus Rasner (M&A/private equity) advised parts of the management of trendtours Touristik during the transaction and on the management’s participation. Further members of the Oppenhoff team were Anja Dombrowsky (employment law) and Dr Gunnar Knorr (tax law).
