Oppenhoff & Partner advises Ferox on the Financing of the acquisition of Darmstadt's former Postal complex
Oppenhoff & Partner advised Ferox Immobiliengruppe, Wuppertal, NRW, on the financing of the acquisition of the former Darmstadt postal complex H31 from the Innernzell, Bavaria based KARL Group. The legal seller of the 56,000m² office property is the insolvency administrator Axel Bierbach, lawyer in the law firm Müller-Heydenreich Bierbach & Kollegen (Munich). The closed-end real estate fund Renditefonds 15 of Deutsche Fonds Management GmbH & Co. had previously invested in the former Deutsche Post administration building and filed for insolvency in December 2015. The KARL Group acquired the receivables from the owner in 2016 and repositioned the building as a multi-tenant property. Large parts of the property have already been leased. Ferox will also rent out the remaining space after the revitalization.
The owner-operated Ferox Real Estate Group, based in Wuppertal, has been a specialist for future-oriented real estate projects since 1994. Its activities focus on revitalization and refurbishment in the commercial, commercial and residential real estate sector.
Ferox was advised by Oppenhoff & Partner on the purchase and long-term financing of the planned revitalisation project of the building complex by Jérôme S. Friedrich (Real Estate; Real Estate Finance).
