Oppenhoff appoints new partners
Oppenhoff has appointed new partners with effect from 1 January 2023.
Dr. Vanessa Pickenpack (Litigation and Arbitration) has joined the group of equity partners. Edder Cifuentes (Corporate / M&A) has been made a partner.
In addition, Dr. Carsten Bormann, Robert Fischer-Sonnberg and Sebastian Gutmann have been promoted to junior partners.

Dr. Vanessa Pickenpack (42) advises and represents national and international companies in civil, commercial and business law matters. One of her focuses is cartel damages proceedings, in which she represents both claimants and defendants. She also regularly acts as an arbitrator in ad hoc and institutional arbitration proceedings.
Edder Cifuentes (40) specialises in M&A, commercial and corporate law, renewable energies, infrastructure law, and capital markets and venture capital law. He regularly advises clients on cross-border projects and transactions, particularly in the DACH region, Chile and Latin America. Edder Cifuentes is a member of the Cologne Bar Association and is admitted to the Chilean Bar (abogado).
Dr. Carsten Bormann (34) advises and represents clients on all public law/regulatory matters and foreign trade issues. He focuses on investment control proceedings, export control and sanctions law, the development and implementation of compliance structures, and advising regulated industries.
Robert Fischer-Sonnberg (36) advises and represents German and foreign companies and investors comprehensively in corporate and capital markets law, in particular in the areas of stock corporation and SE law, corporate governance and corporate restructuring. Further focuses are national and international M&A and capital market transactions as well as joint ventures.
Sebastian Gutmann (31) advises German and foreign companies on all aspects of corporate law as well as insurance supervision law. His work includes, in particular, providing legal support during national and international M&A transactions.
