Oppenhoff appoints new partners
Oppenhoff appoints new partners from within its own ranks with effect as of 1 January 2022.
Dr. Nefail Berjasevic (corporate/M&A, insolvency & restructuring) has been elected equity partner.
Anna-Catharina von Girsewald (corporate/M&A, insurance company law, compliance) and Dr. Fee Mäder (intellectual property law) have been appointed partners.
In addition, Nicholas Degen (litigation & arbitration, intellectual property law), David Falkowski (corporate/M&A, succession/wealth/foundations, compliance), Elmar Krüsmann (tax, succession/wealth/foundations) and Marcel Markovic (corporate/M&A) have been elected junior partners.

Dr. Nefail Berjasevic (43) advises on German and European corporate law as well as insolvency law. He focuses on national and cross-border corporate acquisitions, joint ventures and corporate restructurings. He has a regional focus in South Eastern Europe and a strong client base in the upper and large mid-market.
Anna-Catharina von Girsewald (36) advises on M&A transactions, joint ventures, group restructurings and transformation measures. She also focuses on advising on insurance supervisory law. With the insurance sector group, she is continuing our tradition of advising insurance companies.
Dr. Fee Mäder (38) advises and represents German and international companies in the fields of intellectual property law, copyright and mark law, and media law. Among other things, she assists in the planning and implementation of advertising and marketing measures, especially in social media. She is a member of the retail and consumer goods sector group.
Nicholas Degen (29) advises and represents national and international companies in civil, commercial and business disputes. He also focuses on advising individuals and companies in the field of intellectual property.
David Falkowski (36) advises companies and foundations on all matters of German and European corporate and foundation law. As a member of the succession/wealth/foundations practice group, he also advises high net-worth individuals, company owners, family-owned companies and foundations on all matters of corporate and asset succession, in particular in cross-border situations.
Elmar Krüsmann (31) advises companies and high net-worth individuals on all legal issues of national and international tax law. His main areas of expertise are non-profit law as well as asset and corporate succession. He is a member of the succession/wealth/foundations practice group.
Marcel Markovic (35) advises on national and cross-border M&A transactions and corporate law. His clients are private equity funds, W&I insurers and companies.
