Oppenhoff advises Transition Evergreen on the acquisition of C4 Energie Group
Oppenhoff has advised the French investor Transition Evergreen on the acquisition of C4 Energie Group, consisting of C4 Energie AG and 16 affiliated companies, from its founders. Additional divestment offers from a three-digit number of minority shareholders in individual project companies have additionally been made.
Transition Evergreen is the first French investment fund that specialises exclusively in investments in renewable energy. Evergaz and Eiffel Gaz Vert have been secured as French co-investors.
The C4 group operates biogas plants at ten locations, primarily in northern Germany. Transition Evergreen intends to expand its portfolio with further biogas plants in Germany.
The Oppenhoff team, led by Till Liebau, included Lisa Schmitt, Marcel Markovic (all M&A/private equity), Anja Dombrowsky, Jennifer Bold (both employment law), Marvin Rochner (real estate), Holger Hofmann (public law/regulatory), Dr. Simon Spangler (distribution and antitrust law) and Dr. Gunnar Knorr (tax). In France, the advisers were Winston & Strawn (Paris).
