Oppenhoff advises Suprajit Engineering on the acquisition of the business operations of the SCS Group

Oppenhoff has advised Suprajit Engineering Ltd. on the acquisition of the business operations of the SCS Group. In addition to the assets of SCS Germany, in which the operational business is bundled, the listed Indian group is also taking over the worldwide business operations of the SCS Group with locations in Poland, Morocco, Canada and China.

The SCS Group manufactures components and assemblies for Bowden cables and mechanical release systems for the automotive sector. The company employs around 1,000 people at its sites worldwide. SCS Germany filed for insolvency in December 2023. Jens Lieser was appointed as the insolvency administrator.

With a total of 27 plants, Suprajit is a global leader in the manufacture of cable systems. Suprajit expects the acquisition to further expand its business activities in Europe and North America.
