Oppenhoff advises SnowWorld International on the complete take-over of Alpenpark Neuss
Oppenhoff has advised SnowWorld International B.V. on the increase in the equity interest in Alpenpark Neuss, which includes the indoor ski centre Neuss, to 100 percent. The founders August Pollen and Johannes Janz had already brought the SnowWorld Group on board as a strategic partner in 2018, initially with 25 percent and subsequently with 66 percent. Oppenhoff had advised on both, the initial investment and the increase in the majority stake.
SnowWorld is part of the Alychlo Group, founded by Marc Coucke, and is a leading provider of indoor ski and leisure facilities. With eight locations in three countries, SnowWorld offers first-class ski facilities and associated catering and accommodation. Through continuous growth in recent years, the group has strengthened its position as one of the largest providers of indoor ski and leisure facilities in Europe.
Alpenpark Neuss is a premium active leisure park that offers a variety of alpine attractions as well as high-quality accommodation and conference facilities. Since it was founded in 2001 with the opening of Germany's first indoor ski slope, the park has increasingly gained in attractiveness and has been recognised as the best indoor ski centre in the world nine times in succession.
The Oppenhoff team included Myriam Baars-Schilling (lead), Sebastian Gutmann (both Corporate/M&A), Dr. Gunnar Knorr (tax law), Alexandra Groth and Marko Vraetz (both employment law).
Oppenhoff has been advising national and international companies on transactions and corporate law matters for decades. The M&A team, which has received numerous awards in industry handbooks, recently advised the Austrian railway company ÖBB on the acquisition of Go-Ahead Deutschland and Hawesko on its investment in the Baltic Dunker Group.
