Oppenhoff advises Sicame Group on takeover of Kronenberg Freileitungsarmaturen
Oppenhoff has advised the French Sicame Group, a leading global provider of products and services in the fields of electrical power distribution, renewable energies, electromobility, safety equipment and industrial applications, on the takeover of Kronenberg Freileitungsarmaturen GmbH. With this strategic acquisition, the Sicame Group continues its growth in Europe and strengthens its presence in the German market. Sicame is a portfolio company of the private equity investor Equistone Partners.
Kronenberg Freileitungsarmaturen GmbH, based in Leichlingen in the Rhineland, is an industrial company with 80 employees that has been manufacturing fittings and hardware for medium and high-voltage overhead lines for over 100 years.
The Oppenhoff team, led by Dr. Regina Egelstädter, comprised Dr. Gabriele Fontane, Dr. Jennifer Zimmermann (all Corporate/M&A), Anja Dombrowsky, Lisa Striegler (both Employment), Marc Alexander Häger and Julia Höyng (both Real Estate).
Oppenhoff's M&A team, which has received numerous awards in industry handbooks, has been advising national and international companies on transactions and corporate law matters for decades. Oppenhoff's Energy and Infrastructure sector group advises domestic and foreign energy suppliers, trading companies, grid operators, municipalities, investors, energy service providers, project companies and the energy-intensive industry at all stages of the energy sector's value chain. Most recently, for example, the sector group advised Sunovis on the sale of a 102 MWp solar park in Saxony-Anhalt and GASCADE on a strategically important transaction for energy security in Germany.
