Oppenhoff advises on StatLab’s add-on in Germany
Oppenhoff advised US based StatLab Medical Products group on the acquisition of all shares in Waldemar Knittel Glasbearbeitungs GmbH. With this acquisition, StatLab is continuing its global expansion strategy to support the goal of providing the most stable supply chain of high-quality products for laboratories around the world. Since 2021, StatLab has been a portfolio company of the private equity investors Audax Private Equity and Linden Capital Partners.
StatLab, which is based in Texas was founded in 1976 and is a leading manufacturer of anatomic pathology consumables and labeling and tracking equipment for clinical and research laboratories.
Knittel was founded in Braunschweig, Germany, in 1987 and is one of the largest manufacturers of microscope slides and cover glasses worldwide, produced in ISO13485-certified facilities, and offers technical consultancy services for the glass industry.
Audax Private Equity, which is based in Boston and San Francisco, is a leading medium-sized investment company with managed assets of about 16 billion US Dollars. Since its foundation in 1999, the company has invested in more than 160 platforms and 1,200 add-ons. Audax Private Equity is part of the Audax Group.
Linden Capital Partners is a Chicago-based private equity firm focused exclusively on the healthcare industry. Since its founding in 2004, Linden has invested in over 40 healthcare companies encompassing over 250+ total transactions.
