Oppenhoff advises on sale of MVZ Nephrologicum Westfalen

Oppenhoff has advised Überörtliche Berufsausübungsgemeinschaft Dres. Schumann, Knevels, Hoffmann und Kollegen, now Nephrologicum Westfalen, on the sale of Medizinisches Versorgungszentrum Nephrologicum Westfalen. The purchaser is Clinicum St. Georg GmbH & Co. KG, a portfolio company of private equity investor Adiuva.

Nephrologicum Westfalen is one of the largest independent providers of nephrology and dialysis services in North Rhine Westphalia. With medical service centers in eight cities Nephrologicum Westfalen is the leading regional provider in this area of medical services. The company also is in charge for medical services to dialysis patients in more than ten hospitals.

Under the umbrella of Clinicum St. Georg Nephrologicum Westfalen is part of a supraregional and interdisciplinary medical services group.

The Oppenhoff team led by Prof. Dr. Heiko Höfler (public commercial law & regulatory) comprised Dr. Gabriele Fontane (M&A) and Dr. Gunnar Knorr (tax).

Oppenhoff frequently advises clients in the healthcare sector, such as Shop Apotheke Europe in the acquisition of Smartpatient and recently AddLife in the acquisition of BioCat.
