Oppenhoff advises BMV Group on the accession of further building materials dealers
Oppenhoff has advised the BMV Group on the accession of three further medium-sized building materials dealers. Last year, the law firm had already advised the BMV Group on its reorganisation and the takeover of the von den Hoff Group.
BMV - DIE Baustoff-Allianz GmbH & Co KG, based in Hamburg, is a merger of medium-sized specialised building materials dealers. It cultivates and establishes partnerships with national and regional suppliers. The shareholders of the BMV Group are active throughout Germany.
With effect from 1 January 2024, GIMA Gipser- und Malerbedarf GmbH & Co. Groß- und Einzelhandels KG, based in Herrieden, Anton Wittenzellner KG, based in Patersdorf, and Hamann GmbH, based in Nickenich, joined the alliance.
The alliance company is thus expanding its presence in central and southern Germany and further strengthening its market position in the medium-sized building materials trade and as the largest alliance within the internationally active EUROBAUSTOFF cooperation.
"We are delighted to be able to support our client in its continued dynamic growth despite the difficult economic and political environment," says Dr. Philipp Heinrichs, Junior Partner in the Corporate Law / M&A department at Oppenhoff.
The Oppenhoff team led by Dr. Philipp Heinrichs and Prof. Dr. Nefail Berjasevic (both Corporate Law/M&A) comprised Marc Krischer, Hanjo Prondzinski (both Tax), Dr. Daniel Dohrn and Renée Cherelle Eckruth (both Antitrust Law). External advisor was WP/StB Dipl.-Oec. Ulrich Waldschmidt (Dr. Gehre-Treuhand GmbH).
Oppenhoff has been advising national and international companies on transactions and corporate law matters for decades. The M&A team, which has received numerous awards in industry handbooks, recently advised KNDS on the cornerstone investment as part of the RENK Group listing, the Austrian Federal Railways ÖBB on the acquisition of Go-Ahead Deutschland and Hawesko on its investment in the Baltic Dunker Group.
