Oppenhoff advised Storskogen on the acquisition of Christ & Wirth
Oppenhoff advised Storskogen Deutschland GmbH on the acquisition of a majority stake in the building technology installations specialist Christ & Wirth Haustechnik GmbH as part of a succession solution. The transaction is subject to necessary approvals and expected to close in the first quarter 2022. The parties agreed not to disclose the details of the transaction.
Storskogen Group has already made extensive acquisitions in Sweden over the past nine years. With the establishment of the German subsidiary last year, the investor has laid the foundation for a strong presence in the DACH region.
Christ & Wirth is a full-service provider of building technology services and one of the leading mid-sized installation specialists in the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) space as well as sanitary systems for large-scale projects in the metropolitan areas Frankfurt, Leipzig and Berlin. The Company employs about 45 people at its location close to Leipzig and generated 2021 sales of approximately EUR 25 million.
Swedish Storskogen Group, founded in 2012, acquires and operates well-managed and profitable medium-sized companies with leading market positions. Storskogen is divided into the three business divisions Industry, Services and Trading. The company currently includes around 100 business units with around 7,000 employees operating mainly in Scandinavia, the DACH region and the UK. In October of this year, the company went public on Nasdaq Stockholm with a market capitalisation of about 1.3 billion euros.
Following the acquisition of Hans Kämmerer group end of last year, Oppenhoff again advised Storskogen comprehensively on all legal aspects of the transaction.
