Oppenhoff has achieved 4th place in the overall ranking of the law firm monitor Kanzleimonitor 2021/2022. Oppenhoff has thus climbed three places since last year.
In the top 20 recommendations of all lawyers in Germany, corporate lawyer and head of the private clients sector group Dr. Axel Wenzel reached 3rd place according to number of recommendations. The top 20 lawyers also include antitrust lawyer and co-head of compliance Dr. Daniel Dohrn as well as Stephan Müller, foreign trade expert and head of compliance. In total, twelve lawyers are represented in the top 100 ranking - more than ever before.
Oppenhoff achieved 8 top 5 rankings in a total of 22 recommended areas of law, including the top spot in foreign trade & export control and insolvency law. In total, 22 Oppenhoff lawyers are recommended, some of them more than once.
The firm’s chairwoman Myriam Baars-Schilling stated: "We are delighted with the result, which has yet again exceeded the previous years, and with the numerous recommendations of the in-house lawyers. We want to be problem-solvers and support our clients in achieving their legal and economic goals – which we have obviously succeeded in doing."
The largest study of its kind in Germany is based on a survey of 860 companies. This year, in-house lawyers made more than 7,600 recommendations across 32 different areas of law.
Most recently, Oppenhoff was named Law Firm of the Year for Succession/Assets/Foundations at this year's JUVE Awards and achieved several successes in the JUVE Handbook of Commercial Law Firms.
