Deutsche Post AG hands over SIMSme to Brabbler
Deutsche Post AG has concluded a binding agreement with the Munich based enterprise Brabbler Secure Message and Data Exchange Aktiengesellschaft on the acquisition of the messenger SIMSme by Brabbler. SIMSme is an internet-based, cross-platform instant-messaging service with secure end-to-end-encryption. In return, Deutsche Post AG receives shares from Brabbler, enabling it to continue its participation in the positive development of SIMSme.
Oppenhoff & Partner comprehensively advises Deutsche Post AG on the transaction. The Oppenhoff team comprises Myriam Schilling, Anna-Catharina von Girsewald (both corporate law/M&A), Dr. Jürgen Hartung and Patrick Schwarze (both data protection/IT&C). At Deutsche Post AG, the project is internally handled by in-house counsel Dr. Konstantin Ulrich (M&A, antitrust law) and Benjamin Heinke (IP).
Oppenhoff regularly advises Deutsche Post AG inter alia on M&A projects in the digital sector, most recently on the sale of its online supermarket AllyouneedFresh to Delticom AG.
