Best Lawyers ranking, 2023: Oppenhoff "Law Firm of the Year" for data security and privacy law – 39 lawyers in total recommended
Oppenhoff was named Law Firm of the Year for data security and privacy lawin this year's Best Lawyers ranking. In addition, Dr. Marc Hilber was named "Lawyer of the Year" for IT law and Till Liebau as "Lawyer of the Year" for private equity. Numerous lawyers in Germany were asked for their recommendations for the award.
39 Oppenhoff lawyers were recommended, in total 62 times in 21 areas: employment law, arbitration, banking and finance, construction law, compliance, data protection, corporate law, intellectual property, real estate, IT law, antitrust, litigation, M&A, media law, public/regulatory law, pharmaceutical law, private equity, product safety and liability, tax, technology law and insurance law.
Dr. Anna-Gesine Lock, Mareike Heesing, Maximilian Reichl and Lisa Schmitt are amongst the circle of outstanding lawyers who, as "Ones to Watch", already achieve outstanding professional performance early on in their careers.
Oppenhoff also received the most frequent recommendations of lawyers in Cologne overall and, specifically in Cologne, the most frequent recommendations for the areas of compliance, corporate law and M&A.

Most recently, Oppenhoff has achieved 4th place in the overall ranking of the law firm monitor Kanzleimonitor 2022 and was named Law Firm of the Year for Succession/Assets/Foundations in the 2021 JUVE Awards, where it was also nominated as Law Firm of the Year.
The results published in, among others, the Handelsblatt are based on a survey by Best Lawyers. The survey was used to identify the most renowned legal advisors in Germany in an extensive peer-to-peer process.
