Oppenhoff & Partner advises CCE Group on the establishment and operation of the La Huella solar park, Chile

Oppenhoff & Partner has advised the CCE Group on the realisation of the 87 MWp solar park "La Huella" in northern Chile. Oppenhoff advised on the contracts for the construction, operation and maintenance of the solar park (EPC and O&M contracts) and supported the negotiations with the contractor via its Latin America Desk.

The internationally active CCE Group already took its first steps towards Chile in 2015 by financing a 600 MWp project pipeline of the Austrian project developer Austrian Solar. La Huella is one of three projects in Austrian Solar's pipeline and part of a portfolio of over 300 MWp that CCE has secured in Chile. CCE is currently investing together with a German pension fund in the realisation of the La Huella project, with the clear mission to jointly realise and operate this and other projects in Chile.

La Huella is already the second project developed by Austrian Solar in which Oppenhoff success-fully advised, the first being the "S4" solar park (formerly "Huatacondo"). The S4 solar park was inaugurated at the beginning of September in a ceremony with Chilean authorities.

The contractor is the Spanish construction group Obrascón Huarte Lain (OHL), for whom La Huella is the first renewable energy project in Chile.

The Oppenhoff team comprised Edder Cifuentes (Chilean law), Alf Baars (corporate law/M&A) and Dr. Peter Etzbach (insurance law). Bofill Mir & Álvarez Jana Abogados (Santiago de Chile) advised Austrian Solar on Chilean environmental and real estate law. ECIJA Abogados (Madrid) was con-sulted for corporate law issues under Spanish law.
