Oppenhoff advises Storskogen on the acquisition of Hans Kämmerer
Oppenhoff has comprehensively advised Storskogen Deutschland GmbH on the acquisition of a majority stake in the industrial maintenance specialist Hans Kämmerer GmbH as part of a succession solution. The two managing directors remain as shareholders in the company and continue as its sole managing directors. The parties agreed not to disclose the details of the transaction.
The Storskogen Group has already made extensive acquisitions in Sweden over the past nine years. With the establishment of the German subsidiary earlier this year, the investor has laid the foundation for a strong presence in the DACH region.
Hans Kämmerer manufactures and repairs wear and spare parts as well as complete components, above all for the steel and metal-processing industries as well as the chemical and paper-processing industries. The company presently employs around 100 people at its site in Wachtendonk, on the Dutch border.
The Swedish Storskogen Group, founded in 2012, acquires, supports and develops well-managed and profitable medium-sized companies with leading positions on their respective markets. Storskogen is divided into the three business divisions Industry, Services and Trading. Storskogen generates revenues of approx. 2bn Euros in its 100 business units with around 7,000 employees. In October, Storskogen went public on Nasdaq Stockholm.
The Oppenhoff team, led by Dr. Markus Rasner, included Lisa Schmitt, Moritz Schmitz, Marcel Markovic (all M&A), Marc Alexander Häger, Ann Margret Herzhoff (both Real Estate), Anja Dombrowsky, Jennifer Bold (both Labour Law), Dr. Jürgen Hartung (IT and Data Protection), Georg Lecheler (IP) and Dr. Gunnar Knorr (Tax).
