Oppenhoff advises on the sale of Babybe to Natus
The independent commercial law firm Oppenhoff has advised the shareholders of Babybe GmbH on the sale of all of its shares to Natus Medical Incorporated. The parties agreed not to disclose the purchase price. Babybe has been advised by Oppenhoff since the first financing round.
Babybe GmbH, which is based in Stuttgart, is a leading company in the implementation and support of family-centred technologies for neonatal care. The Babybe system enables parents in the neonatal intensive care unit to overcome technical barriers: breathing, heartbeat and voice of the mother (or caregiver) are transmitted to the newborn from a distance. The company was founded in 2013 by Camilo Anabalón and Raphael Lang: The management team Anabalón and Lang are remaining with the company.
Natus Medical Incorporated has its headquarters in California, USA. Natus is a leading provider of medical device solutions focused on the diagnosis and treatment of central nervous and sensory system disorders for patients of all ages. Products of Natus are used in hospitals, clinics and laboratories worldwide.
Babybe was created under the core belief that technology can be a meaningful tool for family life and human-centred health care. Now, by joining Natus’s more than 80 years of leadership in patient care, Babybe’s vision is to nurture and expand this to reach a global community.
