Oppenhoff advises Family Trust on the acquisition of alphaQuest

A team of Oppenhoff & Partner led by Till Liebau provided comprehensive legal advice to the Munich-based private equity fund Family Trust Beteiligungsholding on the acquisition of Ulm-based alphaQuest GmbH.

alphaQuest is a highly specialized provider for data analytics, business analytics and software engineering with locations in Ulm and Berlin. The company provides high-quality consulting services along the data science value chain with a focus on data management and business intelligence up to the modelling of complex mathematical models (predictive analytics). Family Trust has taken over all shares from the company founder and previous majority owner André Probst. The minority shareholder Dr. Christian Wagner, who has been largely responsible for the strategic development of alphaQuest from a system house to an IT service provider since 2010, has made a significant re-investment and will continue to manage the company as its managing partner.

Family Trust is private equity fund established in 2015 by experienced private equity professionals with an investment focus on medium-sized companies in German-speaking countries. Oppenhoff regularly advises Family Trust, most recently in December 2019 on the acquisition of Dietsch Group.

The Oppenhoff team comprised Till Liebau (M&A/lead), Marcel Markovic, Moritz Schmitz (both Corporate/M&A), Anja Dombrowsky, Cristina-Cornelia Scupra (both Employment), Georg Lecheler (IP), Patrick Schwarze (IT/Data Protection) and Marvin Rochner (Real Estate).

Oppenhoff & Partner stands for 110 years of top level legal advice. The independent law firm advises national and international companies and entrepreneurs on matters of commercial and tax law.
