Till Liebau specializes in advising domestic and international financial sponsors, family-owned businesses and strategic investors on M&A and private equity transactions. In particular, he has extensive experience in cross-border investments. Till is one of the leading German advisors to W&I insurers on the underwriting of M&A risks. He also advises extensively on group structuring and other corporate law measures.
Till is regularly listed in leading directories such as JUVE Handbook, Legal 500 Germany / EMEA and Best Lawyers as a frequently recommended lawyer in the areas of M&A, private equity and W&I insurance. In 2022, he was named Lawyer of the Year for private equity by Best Lawyers.
Prior to joining Oppenhoff in 2017, Till Liebau worked as a lawyer and partner at leading international law firms in Frankfurt am Main since 2002. In 2009/2010, he spent a secondment at an investment bank in Frankfurt and London. He studied in Perugia, at Humboldt University Berlin and in Edinburgh.
