Katharina Schäffer

Experience

Katharina Schäffer advises and represents German and foreign companies on all matters of individual and collective employment law. She is experienced in the drafting, implementation and termination of employment and service contracts. Her work includes, in particular, drafting compensation systems for board members and managing directors, as well as providing employment law advice during corporate restructurings. She also represents employers in judgement and court order proceedings before the labour courts.

 

Education

Katharina Schäffer has been a lawyer at Oppenhoff since 2024. She studied law at the University of Göttingen and the University of Copenhagen. Furthermore, she worked as a research assistant in the employment law practice at KLIEMT.Arbeitsrecht and Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek. As part of her legal training, Katharina Schäffer worked in the employment law departments of Noerr PartGmbB and KLIEMT.Arbeitsrecht, among others. Before transferring to Oppenhoff, she worked as a lawyer at KLIEMT.Arbeitsrecht and Fuhlrott Arbeitsrecht.

Katharina Schäffer is a sports judge at the HFV Sports Court.

She is also a member of the German Labour Court Association Deutscher Arbeitsgerichtsverband e.V., the Hamburg Bar Association and the Labour Law Working Group of the German Bar Association.
