Julian Spruytenburg

Experience

Julian Spruytenburg advises and represents national and international companies in all areas of insolvency and restructuring law. In particular, he advises managing directors, shareholders and creditors of companies in crisis and during insolvency. A particular focus of his work in this connection is the examination and pursuit of insolvency avoidance claims and liability claims against the management of companies in crisis. In addition, he advises national and international companies on corporate law issues as well as on domestic and cross-border company acquisitions - in particular distressed M&A transactions.

 

Education

Julian Spruytenburg has been a lawyer at Oppenhoff since 2024. He studied law at the University of Cologne and worked as a research assistant in insolvency and corporate law at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Dentons, among others. During his legal training, Julian Spruytenberg worked for Loschelder and CMS Hasche Sigle in the field of insovlency and restructuring law.

Julian Spruytenburg is currently working on his doctorate at the University of Cologne on an topic relating to insolvency law and legal doctrine.
