Real Estate
ESG and sustainability are key topics in the real estate and construction industry - and are evident in many facets. We advise project developers, investors and lessees on traditional real estate and construction law as well as on the interfaces with other areas of law such as energy, tax and financing.
Our advisory services include:
Green leases
Green leases have become an integral part of the real estate industry. We provide comprehensive advice to lessors and lessees on drafting and negotiating provisions in lease agreements to enable them to achieve their own sustainability goals as well as meet the certification requirements.
Renewable energies
Green energy is an essential element of sustainable real estate. We support our clients in the planning and authorisation of transactions and project developments in the field of photovoltaic and wind energy plants as well as providing full support throughout the process.
Optimisation of existing real estate
The optimisation of existing real estate is currently a high priority for many market participants. Here, we advise in particular on tenancy law as well as on private and public building law relating to renovation, redensification and changes of use.
Alternative resource utilisation - from brownfield to greenfield
The reduction of new densification and the poor CO2 balance of new buildings compared to the revitalisation of existing buildings have long been topics of discussion in the real estate industry. We assist with the conversion of existing properties and conversion sites, including the associated remediation of contaminated sites, as well as new forms of land utilisation. We are a founding member of the German Brownfield Association and are involved in the establishment of a brownfield register.
Please feel free to contact us with any questions about your specific projects.
