For companies based in the EU, 2025 will also bring a host of new regulations that will have a significant impact on business practices. We provide an overview of the key regulations and offer an outlook on further developments, particularly in light of the inauguration of the new US President and the upcoming German federal elections.

Another focus of his work is the design and implementation of compliance structures. Carsten Bormann advises companies on criminal, export and sanctions law risks and, in cases of suspicion, accompanies internal investigations as well as official criminal and administrative fine proceedings.
In addition to advising on transactions, Carsten Bormann also advises companies directly on regulatory issues and conducts complex administrative proceedings, including appeals against regulatory measures and licensing proceedings. More recently, he has increasingly been involved in climate change regulation and ESG compliance.
